BST, Redhills Electronics and private entrepreneur completed a wireless surveillance camera network for the Stellenbosch Municipality.

BST and Redhills Electronics completed a wireless surveillance camera network for the Stellenbosch Municipality. BST supplied and installed the StarGate range of wireless equipment while Redhills Electronics supplied and installed the video equipment.

The network comprises of a StarLink SL-100 configured as a redundant backhaul Point-to-Point link connecting the Municipality Control Room with two StarGate SG-60 Base Stations. Multiple StarPoint SP-30 are applied to relay streaming video from key locations in the Stellenbosch CBD to the Base Stations.

The StarGate QoS and routing capability allows for the configuration of 4Mbps throttling of each camera and thus the efficient bandwidth utilization of the network.

The company has been awarde a 3 year contract to supply wireless infrastructure for the Stellenbosch CCTV network to extend the system to surrounding areas.
