Broadband Solutions Technology (BST) supplied the wireless products for an expansive network covering a total of 350 kilometers in the Northern Cape. The requirement of the farming enterprise was to put a network in place that will allow inter-farm communication, give internet connectivity, and allow application data transfer and the remote storage of critical data.

The client opted for StarLink 7GHz PDH backhaul links to provide a professional backhaul network covering the 250km between the various high site points with the longest link being 69km. At each high site StarGate SL-120 Point-to-Multipoint systems were installed to give wireless coverage and connectivity to the farming units and to the farm buildings where StarPoint SL-30 were installed.

The BST distributor installed the wireless network and installed all peripheral equipment to provide a holistic network solution that provides internet, VoIP, data transfer and data storage to areas that had no communication previously.
