The StarGate Mk-II point-to-multipoint radio is a hi-power, linear 2x2 MIMO radio with enhanced receiver performance. The StarGate point-to-multipoint radio system utilizes the advantages of OFDM modulation and MIMO technology along with a proprietary Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) protocol to provide exceptional range and speed (100+Mbps real TCP) performance.
Further performance enhancements are achieved with optionalGPS Synchronization, providing precision synchronization and timing to eliminate co-location interference and enhance frequency re-use capability
The StarGate TDMA protocol allows each client to send and receive data using a pre-designated time slot scheduled by an intelligent AP controller.
This “time slot” method of provisioning clients eliminates hidden node collisions and maximizes airtime efficiency, providing magnitudes of performance improvements in latency, throughput and scalability when compared with other outdoor systems in its class.
The StarGate family of products is based on software defined Radio (SDR) platforms that are packaged in a variety of configurations to suit most customer demands. The SG-120 is a high-capacity, point-to-multipoint fixed wireless access system with a central Base Station providing service to a number of remote Subscriber Stations. Access Points and SSU’s are frequency-band specific but can be mixed within the same Base Station deployment i.e. different sectors can be on different frequencies. Sectors on different frequencies may overlap to give multi-frequency coverage of the same geographical area. Designed for the harshest environments, this robust system is built on field-proven technology and designed to last. It supports a variety of networks and end-user interfaces with a reach of up to 30 kilometers from the central station.
